
ABOUt us
We are BioSoc, the University of St Andrews Biology Society.
Our members are from all branches of science and beyond, so anyone who has an interest in Biology is welcome to join us!

We hold a mixture of academic and social events, including lectures on interesting areas of biology which are aimed at any member of the public. We have socials, pub quizzes and cocktails & colouring sessions, along with our annual Christmas Dinner and BioBall.
​
Membership can be purchased for £3 a semester or £5 a year at yourunion.net. Members receive free or discounted entry into all of our events. Look out for updates on our sponsorship for the coming year!

Bekki Gorgon
Bekki is a fourth year BSc Biology student and is from St Andrews. Her main interest is in zoology, especially entomology, and she enjoys running and nature photography.

Gabi is a fourth year BSc Biology student from Seattle, USA. She has recently returned from a wildlife rehabilitation research assistantship and loves animals of all kinds. She also enjoys running, being a radio show co-host, and chatting about travel. Feel free to get in touch!

Sarah is a fourth year BSc Biology student from Vienna, Austria. She is interested in cell signaling and gene regulation. She loves ballroom dancing (she has Viennese Waltz in her DNA), hip hop and dogs.

Lorelei is a fourth year BSc Biology and Psychology student from the Forest of Dean, England. Her interests include epigenetics and the causation and treatment of psychological disorders. She loves animals and enjoys exploring new places and making new memories in old ones.
